Integrating Informal Musicianship into Formal Music Teaching
This 4-week professional learning experience is designed for music educators who want to incorporate informal, student centered, intuitive, and ear-based musical practices into their formal teaching methods. Participants will explore singing with scale degrees, basic songwriting using diatonic harmony, and transcription/modulation of familiar melodies—all through collaborative, reflective practice.
The emphasis is on learning as your students would, then translating that experience into classroom-ready strategies.
